Dr. Stanley Nichols Pediatric Auxiliary in Support of  Women and Children at Monmouth Medical Center

The Dr. Stanley Nichols Pediatric Auxiliary was founded in 1953 to support programs that enhance the care of children at The Children’s Hospital  at Monmouth Medical Center.

The Auxiliary was formed in the hopes of improving the quality of care of the children at Monmouth Medical Center.  This dream became a reality, and its contributions to the hospital have continued in truly making a difference for patients, physicians and staff.

Recent support has funded a variety of projects, including:

  • A state-of-the-art newborn hearing screening machine.
  • New sleeper chairs for the Department of Pediatrics inpatient unit — provied for the comfort of parents who stay overnight with their children.
  • A pediatric ventilator utilized during magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
  • A stadiometer for high-precision height measurement, a blood pressure monitoring system and a body composition analyzer/scale.
  • Four televisions specially designed for patients at bedside.
  • Subscription to the Newborn Channel, a special television show that is available ’round-the-clock to new mothers during their stay at Monmouth.
